- + Molly Green was the Grand Prize winner of the Christmas Bingo. Congratulations Molly! The New Years winner is yet to be won at the time of this printing, so good luck everyone!
- + Congratulations to our monthly Pool Tournament winner Bill Dahm, brother of Sophie Grisman. Congratulations also to Mo Roberts, winner of the impromptu Pool Competition that was held in honor of Mo's Birthday!
- + Congratulations to Annex nurse Regina Davis with the new arrival of Barkley Davis. Watch for the latest pictures of Baby Barkley on the Annex bulletin board and personal visits after February 1st.
- + Entertainment is always welcome at Jennings Terrace not just during the holiday season, but for months of January and February as well. Please feel free to contact Diane Beukelman, (630) 897-6947, extension 12, for additional information or to schedule a time at Jennings Terrace.
- A Big Thank You To...
- + Families and Friends of Jennings Terrace who have made donations to our "Raise the Roof" Campaign. We appreciate your generous support for our much needed Kemmerer Annex replacement roof. We will continue to welcome any and all donations in the New Year. It is our hope to begin the roofing project in the spring.
- + The Jennings Terrace Auxiliary for the gift envelopes for our Sheltered Care residents and a special upcoming themed party and entertainment for our Annex residents.
- + The many "Wish List" donors who contributed items for our residents from the Jennings Terrace Wish List.
- + Linda Schweitzer for the handmade Christmas goodie bags filled with special treats for Sheltered Care residents.
- + The Employees of the McKesson company for their annual donation of wonderful gift bags for each of the Shelter Care residents. The "surprise" bags and visit by the employees were greatly appreciated and enjoyed.
- + Chef Juan and Staff for the extra special treats and desserts for the holidays!
- + Staff members Wahid Ward ( Annex ) and Nancy Wheeler ( Shelter Care ) for exercise programs each day for anyone wanting to work off the holiday treats!
- + Jim Berkland, tour director extraordinaire, for driving Jennings Terrace residents out two evenings to see the Christmas lights in the area in the Jennings Terrace van.
- + The Aurora University Flute Choir for the festive entertainment they provided.
- + The Foot Soldiers, Oak Park Elementary School Carolers and all the other Churches and schools that provided singing and entertainment over the holidays.
- + The Waldo Middle School Art Club for the beautiful "Peace on Earth" art display.
- + The Jennings Terrace Staff for donating the "Grand Prize" Cash Award for the resident's Christmas Bingo game and New Years Bingo game. Your generosity made two huge jackpots.
- + The Jennings Terrace Auxilliary for sponsoring the musical entertainment programs by Frank Rossi.
- + The Jennings Terrace Auxilliary and the Perkins Family for the donations of pizzas for residents on December 26th.
- + To all the "Elves" who decorated Jennings Terrace this year. The decorations looked and felt so festive and fun. And, to the Elves who will be taking it all down and packing it away for next year - thank you and bless you!
