Terrace Talk - May 2009

Jennings Terrace News Updates!

Jennings Terrace is participating in the National Letter Carriers Food Drive, Saturday May 9th. Everyone is invited to drop off non-perishable donations in the U. S. postal basket in each Jennings Terrace Lobby.

Just a reminder… Mother's Day is May 10th! Our weekly Sunday Brunch is offered from 9am - 5pm for residents and just $6.50 per person for friends and family members (and, anyone 75 years or better is free!) No reservations are necessary and this may be a great family opportunity for a Mother's Day dinner, and let Jennings do the cooking!

Mark your calendars for May 24th! Weather permitting; Jennings Terrace will be hosting a Vintage Car Show beginning at 12 noon. DJ entertainment from the Carousel Sound Company will fill the air. The Jennings Terrace Auxiliary will be offering pop, water and popcorn and Juan plans to fire up the grill for some burgers, hot dogs and Wurst Kitchen sausages.

Our thanks go out to Jennings Staff and Residents: David & Horty Scarpetta, Daphne Eggers, Sue Bugarewicz, Jim Kaatz, Al Taylor, Nancy Wheeler, Janet Grady, Karen Coakes and Rick Bennett.

Also our Jennings Friends: Bill Armbrust, Joan Woodrick, Mark, Melanie & Matthew Strausberger, Shaelyn Rounds, Chuck Mall, and Tom & Lynn Akers.

Our thanks also to event donors: the City of Aurora and Allied Waste Services. Nearly 40 donated yard waste bags were filled and a mountain of tree limbs, brush and vines were picked up by Allied Waste Services!
